1. ALERT

The primary function of the Tsunado System is to get attention. This is achieved in the same way as a smoke alarm. This is necessary to ensure that the system is able to wake people at night during sleep, or over the everyday noises of family life, listening to music, or watching television.

The TSUNADO Alert Radios are small discrete devices that are installed in homes and businesses. They contain a high intensity alarming device, similar to those used in a smoke alarms, and other similar devices that are required to get attention urgently.

The alerting process lasts for a period of up to 20 seconds, enough to be heard in most environments, night and day.

The alerting phase is a prelude to the informing process that happens next, where information about what to do is delivered.
