The TSUNADO Alert Radios contain a radio receiver and speaker, that can be activated by the Civil Authority controlling the local area. After the alerting process, the speaker is turned on, and in conjunction with the local and national radio stations, an official Emergency Message is delivered so that everyone is provided with the correct information about what to do.
This Emergency Message is created by the local Emergency managers using the TSUNADO Central system, and transmitted to each participating Radio Station using secure SSL protected systems infra-structures. This ensures that the information is legitimate and appropriate.
After any primary emergency has been declared, then the TSUNADO System can continue to provide continuing up to date information as the Emergency Managers see fit.
